Una ricerca pubblicata su European Urology (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.eururo.2005.09.019) sottolinea l'importanza delle proprietà non elastiche nei risultati postoperatori immediati.

Uno studio successivo pubblicato sul Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jmig.2010.08.105) conferma il mantenimento di queste proprietà meccaniche dopo l'impianto.

Ricerche più recenti, pubblicate sul Journal of Clinical Gynecology and Obstetrics nel 2020 (https://doi.org/10.14740/jcgo643), hanno dimostrato tassi particolarmente bassi di complicanze correlate alla rete. Lo studio ha osservato in particolare una riduzione dei casi di erosione, esposizione e contrazione, attribuendo questi risultati favorevoli alle proprietà strutturali uniche della tecnologia I-STOP.
